Questions
A namespace is an isolated vector collection — a logical partition of your knowledge base. You might use one namespace per product, customer, or domain. Namespaces have independent access controls, metadata schemas and search configs. Workpacks each occupy their own namespace by default, or can be merged into an existing one.
A vector is a mathematical embedding of a chunk of text (or other data). When you ingest a document, it is split into chunks (typically 256–512 tokens each) and each chunk is embedded into a high-dimensional vector. The number of vectors you store depends on how much content you have ingested — as a rough guide, 1M vectors holds roughly 500–1,000 medium-length documents.

Yes, on Startup and above. We provide a Docker Compose setup with the full stack — BGE-M3 embeddings, the Candengo API and the Vctr Chat interface. Self-hosted customers receive priority support and access to the same workpacks delivered as signed bundles. See our deployment options page for a full comparison and pricing, or talk to sales to discuss data residency requirements.
